Claim Status Labels
- Verified: Strong primary evidence with clear attribution and no major unresolved contradiction.
- Partially Supported: Meaningful supporting evidence exists, but key attribution or scope is still incomplete.
- Unverified: Claim may be plausible, but current evidence is insufficient for factual assertion.
- Disputed: Credible evidence points in materially conflicting directions.
Source Tiers
- Tier 1 (Primary records): audited statements, regulator filings, court records, official disclosures.
- Tier 2 (Independent reporting): reputable reporting that cites underlying records and methods.
- Tier 3 (Stakeholder statements): trade group releases, company pages, board communications.
- Tier 4 (Signal channels): forums, social posts, anecdotal channels, unsourced commentary.
Minimum Threshold Rules
- Major financial claims are never marked Verified using Tier 4 alone.
- Numerical claims require visible source math or clear reconciliation path.
- When in doubt, we keep status lower and state what is missing.
- Corrections are dated and logged; we do not silently revise material claims.
Update Cadence
- Hot claims: reviewed weekly when evidence flow is active.
- Structural pages: reviewed monthly or when new primary records appear.
- Each major tracker includes a visible "last updated" date.
